My Story
I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Barranquilla, Colombia. In my early twenties I expanded my horizons and moved to the United States. After living in New York for some time, I decided to settle down in California. Art has always had a very strong presence in my life, from making comics as a little girl to my college studies in art, advertising, and photography. I took some time away from the canvas while focusing on my career and family life, but after my girls left for college, I decided to pick up the paint brush and I haven’t been able to put it down since.
My Inspiration
I attribute much of my artistic foundation to my father, Enrique Ojeda, who was a well known artist in South America. The beautiful vibrant colors you’ll find in much of my work are my Colombian roots. My inspirations for my pieces are a combination of my family, my roots, and my raw authentic emotions. Painting for me is truly a form of self expression. My hopes are that when viewing my pieces you are able to connect the piece and put yourself in the painting.
